Who am I?

Built for creators, crafted to inspire.

Hi. I’m Daniel Rivera, and the photo to the right is me with my old man. Why share this? Because I owe everything I do with my hands to him — without his skill and example, I wouldn’t even know what I’m capable of. I still hope to have even half his talent someday.

A little about me: I’ve spent over 35 years as a recording engineer, producer, and DJ. Yep… feels like forever, but I wouldn’t trade a minute of the journey.

Recently, I rediscovered a long‑held passion: woodworking. That’s what inspired Echo and Grain. I believe there’s something uniquely powerful in creating not just furniture, but inspiring environments for creatives.

Why I do it?

My experience in studios over the past 3 decades has taught me that workflow matters — how things move, how tools are placed, how sound flows. My designs at Echo and Grain are built with that in mind: enhancing workflow without sacrificing aesthetics.

Whether you’re mixing, mastering, or composing, I see your workspace as more than a desk. It should support your sound and it should fuel your vision.
